Message from the
President & CEO

kayleigh zaloga

Thank you for your interest in learning more about the NYS Coalition for Children’s Behavioral Health (CCBH) and the work we’re doing to support young people, families, and the service providers who help them thrive.

Receiving timely and appropriate behavioral health services has a lifelong positive impact on the health and mental health of youth and families, especially those affected by adverse experiences, trauma, and severe emotional disturbances. Early interventions are key to helping children develop emotionally and socially, perform better in school, and fully participate in family and community life. CCBH is committed to supporting community-based providers that offer children, youth, and families the care they need to lead safe, healthy, and happy lives.

We are the voice of children’s behavioral health providers and the families they serve, with the unifying goal of improving our care continuum for all who need services. We advocate for increasing family and youth involvement in treatment planning, expanding and strengthening the array of children’s mental health services available regardless of insurance, and ensuring that public policy and public dollars support the treatment system we need to care for the children and families of today and the future.

Consider CCBH your go-to resource on all things children’s behavioral health. If you have any questions or are interested in getting involved with us, please reach out! We would love to speak with you. Please contact us at info@ccbhny.org!

Warmly,

Kayleigh

about the coalition

The New York State Coalition for Children’s Behavioral Health Services provides policy, advocacy and member services related to the following areas:

  • We represent children and family’s best interests in all the areas that affect youth and families with severe emotional disturbances.

  • We are the premier resource for policy information, state-of-the-art education, and other children’s behavioral health care information.

  • Continual contact with members made up of diversified and dedicated behavioral health care service organizations across New York State, through e-communications, publications, newsletters, and personal communication.

  • Committees and provider groups offer the means for members to actively discuss issues that influence their success in the treatment and services provided to children across New York State.

  • Advocate for non-profit children’s behavioral health service agencies and the families they serve with policymakers in Albany regarding state legislation, regulations and reimbursement issues.

We seek your participation and support to provide the best possible behavioral health services to the children and families in our communities and throughout New York State. Through collaborative efforts and voices, we will help the next generation live healthier, successful lives.
